6 Questions and Answers about our Wedding Photography Services

When I meet with potential wedding clients, they always come prepared with questions about the photography services we offer. I am still impressed with the research that couples have done related to hiring a wedding photographer. I want to answer a few of the top questions that I am usually asked about our photography services when meeting with a couple.

Every wedding photographer offers different packages and includes various components in their wedding packages. My wedding photography packages are designed for us to get to know each other and for you to become comfortable and relaxed in front of my camera. I do not want your wedding date to be the first time that we meet.

1. How many locations are included?

All of my wedding packages start with an initial consultation, where I listen to your wedding plans and photography needs. I share with you my approach to wedding photography and how we can be a good fit together. All packages also include a “Save the Date” or engagement portrait session. This is the first time you will be in front of the camera, and it is a casual and fun experience for everyone. Every package also includes a pre-wedding portrait and photography at three locations, consisting of the bride and groom getting ready, the ceremony, and the reception.

2. Do your packages include a second photographer.

Yes, all of our standard packages include a second photographer. The benefits of having a second photographer are outlined in our recent blog post, Why Two Photographers are Better than One.

3. Do you edit your photos?

Yes, we edit all photos that are delivered to you. We want you to look your best. All images are adjusted for color and tone and usually cropped to a ratio of 8 x 10. Minor facial imperfections are correct on most images. Extra special attention is given to bridal highlight photographs.

4. Do I need to sign a contract and pay a retainer fee?

Yes, the wedding photography contract is a document that outlines the services and the cost of the services that we will provide to you. A retainer fee is necessary at the time of signing the contract. When we accept your contract and retainer fee, we are committing to you and your wedding date.

5. Do you offer videography?

Yes, we do offer videography. We use professional-grade, high-quality video equipment. Videography is available for an additional cost. The cost of videography services depends on the number of recorded hours that you require. I meet a lot of couples who want a highlight video. It usually takes several hours of videography services to be able to create a highlight video. We will work together to identify the parts of your wedding that you want in your highlight video.

6. Do you offer live streaming?

Yes, we do offer live streaming of your wedding. We use professional-grade high-quality video equipment combined with dedicated nodal streaming transmitters to provide uninterrupted live streaming. Live streaming is available for an additional cost. We will work together to identify the parts of your wedding that want to live-stream.
