We recently had the pleasure of documenting Lori and Jim’s Albany wedding, and it was undoubtedly a one-of-a-kind celebration! From their beautiful church ceremony to exploring downtown Albany for wedding photos, we loved roaming around the city and using its diverse architecture as backdrops. From gothic revival to romanesque to art deco, we were able to feature so many diverse architectural styles in Lori and Jim’s sweet wedding photos all within one block of our studio.

Lori And Jim’s Albany Wedding

It was a beautiful day for Lori and Jim’s wedding in downtown Albany, NY, and we could tell from their beaming smiles that they were more than ready to say ‘I do’. Their wedding venue, The Cathedral of All Saints, was just a block away from our studio. And one of the biggest benefits of this was that we were able to capture some absolutely gorgeous images of Lori in her bridal dress in the studio.

Photographing Lori and Jim’s union at The Cathedral of All Saints was a dream come true. The gothic revival-style church was something straight out of a movie set, with its stone and wood carvings and stained glass windows making for the perfect backdrops.

We were in awe as we documented each special moment of their intimate union, surrounded by their nearest and dearest. Even though documenting the ceremony inside the cathedral was a real treat for us, one of our favorite parts of the day came after the ceremony was over, and we made our way through downtown Albany with the newlyweds. We started at the New York State Education Building, a beautiful building dedicated in 1912 with a 36-column colonnade. And, yes, it looks as majestic as it sounds.

But we didn’t stop there. We crossed the street to West Capital Park, where we set up in front of the Alfred E. Smith Building, an exquisite art deco style building built in 1928. We couldn’t resist posing Lori and Jim in front of it for some romantic couples portraits. And the icing on the cake? Watching Lori and Jim strolling around the block hand-in-hand, savoring every moment together. It was a love story in motion, and we were there to capture it all.

We were stoked to capture all the love and energy at Lori and Jim's reception. The newlyweds were having the times of their lives surrounded by their loved ones. The love between them filled the room as they shared their first dance together. But it wasn’t just all about romance with these two, they came prepared to party with their guests! We especially loved taking some fun photos of them as they brought out their funky sunglasses - Lori’s heart-shaped sunglasses certainly stole the show!
