This the tenth in the series of the ten Best Wedding Images of 2019 from Ken's Portrait Photography. It has been a very busy year at Ken's Portrait Photography and we have been fortunate to capture so many beautiful images from so many loving couples. We have so many great images we are just going to present then one at a time, in no particular order.
This one is for the groomsmen and is one of my favorite images from Melanie and Christian’s wedding this past fall. I call it Groomsmen Do What Groomsmen Do.
Melanie and Christian’s ceremony and reception were held at the National Museum of Dance in Saratoga Springs. I have photographed several weddings at the National Museum of Dance and it is not only a beautiful venue for a wedding but such a rich location for taking all kinds of wedding photographs.
The main hall of the National Museum of Dance provides stunning lighting opportunities for wedding ceremonies. Brilliant sunshine softly pours through the numerous tall elegant windows of the main hall. The porches, porticos, and gardens provide diverse backgrounds and backdrops for individual bridal portraits, couple portraits, and bridal party images. The main hall can be seen highlighted in the post entitled Wedding Venue – National Museum of Dance.
I have captured some interesting images of groomsmen at the various weddings I have photographed, including The Evolution of the Grooms Man. In the image of Christian and his groomsmen below I really didn't have to tell them what to do or how to pose. It just occurred naturally. To me, that is what makes this image so wonderful and interesting.
