I happened to be in New York City yesterday on the anniversary of September 11th. I frequent New York City and often stay at a hotel by the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. On any day, there are always people at the Memorial, observing the reflecting pools and reading through the engraved names of those who were lost on that infamous day.
This is the first time that I had been at the Memorial on September 11th and it was truly a solemn and special day. I have never seen so many people there. Some were silent, some were sharing stories, some were alone, and some were with family and friends.
Every day I have visited the Memorial, there are always flowers and mementos on the names adorning the reflecting pool walls. Yesterday, there were countless flowers and signs of love adorning the walls. The images in this post were two of the photos taken on September 11, 2018. These fine art portraits are true images of remembrance.
