At Ken Clough Photography, we are big fans of weddings. And it always gets better when the couple is someone we already know! And that was the case with Lori and Chris's wedding. We've been taking pictures of Lori for years now, ever since she started modeling for us. She's also been in some of our award-winning photos, and it's been amazing to watch her grow as a model (not to mention as a person). We got to know Chris when he started accompanying Lori to her photo shoots. And then, of course, we were thrilled when they got engaged and asked us to shoot their wedding. It was truly an honor to be able to capture such an important moment in the lives of two people who mean so much to us. Their wedding was at The Woods Inn in Inlet, which was the perfect place for their fairy tale wedding - just like they wanted.
A Special Save-The-Date For Our Special Couple
We always go the extra mile to ensure that our couples have the wedding photography experience of their dreams. The same was the case with Lori and Chris. When it came to photographing their save-the-date session, Chris told us he wanted to have the save-the-date images taken at an Irish Castle. And that is exactly what we found for our couple. Located about an hour's drive from Albany, NY, Beardslee Castle is a restaurant and wedding venue in Little Falls, NY. We contacted the owners, who were so incredibly gracious and accepted our request to use their facility for the save-the-date session. This way, we have gotten to know Lori and Chris over the years and were excited to photograph their big day!
Lori And Chris’s Wedding At The Woods Inn
Lori and Chris's wedding was an absolutely amazing event. The Woods Inn is a stunning venue located in the quaint Adirondack village of Inlet, New York, and was the perfect romantic and rustic setting for our couple’s wedding. We started our day photographing our lovely couple as they were getting ready for their big day. Lori looked gorgeous in her wedding dress, and Chris looked dashing in his wedding attire. They were both glowing with happiness, and it was so heartwarming to see them surrounded by the love and support of their closest family and friends.
The ceremony took place outdoors, and the weather could not have been more perfect. There were sprawling gardens with gorgeous fall foliage, and the view of Fifth Lake was a stunning backdrop for the ceremony. Lori and Chris looked radiant as they exchanged their vows, which also happened to be one of our favorite moments of their wedding day.
The bride and groom were engaged at sunset at the gazebo dock on the lake, so the Woods Inn held a special place in their hearts. They wanted to have a special sunset wedding photo on the dock, and as always, we knew we had to make it special for them!
We looked up the time for the sunset on that day and, during the dinner, excused the couple so that we could capture their special requested memory. At the perfect time for sunset, we went out on the dock and took several beautiful images of them right as the sun was setting, with the lake and the mountains in the background. As you can guess, this was another unforgettable moment from Lori and Chris’s wedding day.
It was a warm, fun-filled reception, and it was so much fun seeing the newlyweds enjoying their night as husband and wife. They were just smiling and laughing throughout and had a lovely first dance too. Overall, the whole day was filled with love, laughter, and lots of happy memories.
The Woods Inn is a beautiful lake-side historic inn with a lot of Adirondack character. The owners and hosts, Charlie and Nancy Frey, were so great to work with and went the extra mile to make sure everything was perfect for the bride and groom. It was truly an amazing experience, and for anyone who’s looking for the perfect romantic and historic inn setting for their wedding, you can definitely go with The Woods Inn - we can assure you won’t be disappointed!
